Ba’Ghetto is the oldest jewish restaurant in Rome, and was opened thanks to the inspirational spirit of Ester and Amram Dabush, parents of Avi,IIan,Eran and Amit, of which ,they transmitted this passion and creativity to their children, enough to transform a local restaurant in the neighbourhood, into the largest kosher restaurant in Italy and in Europe.

Infact nowadays, the partnership has a chain of restaurants situated in 4 key Towns in Italy which includes; Rome, Florence, Milan and Venice, but remains famous for its capacity to combine the delicacies of its dishes in a family style cohabiting atmosphere.

Beautiful food and service

After a tour of the ghetto we chose to book a meal at the restaurant on the square. What a find this was. We were blown away by not only the food and quality of wine, but also outstanding service. This is a real ‘must go to place’ if you are wanting to make your trip to Venice special.

One of the best kosher restaurant I visited. Design perfect in the old ghetto, love food so yummy. Try the Jude artichoke just amazing. Steak pepper like a cream butter. Service perfect.

Kosher comfort food in Florence

The freshest kosher comfort food! I enjoyed a lunch with two appetizers and a side dish, and I was pleasantly full! The fried cod on a bed of greens was lightly breaded and crispy, but wonderfully moist inside. You must try the spinach with raisins and pine nuts, and the Mediterranean salad with hummus, falafel, and tabouleh was wonderful.

Wonderful kosher meat meal in Florence

It is a lovely place, opposite the synagogue, and the only place offering kosher meat meals. The food was excellent, a bit pricey, but very high quality overall. All in all, it was a lovely experience and the place is highly recommended.

It is a nice, cosy and clean place. The staff are very friendly and well-coming. The best part was the food. We ordered 3 different food which one was better than the other. The wine that one of the staff suggested was amazing.

Great artichokes a la giudecca lovely Gnocchi. Friendly staff who took the time to explain why cheese could not be served with the pasta (kosher rules). Fast service. Glad to return!
